TRUSTFUND MICROFINANCE BANK WINS PIONEER MFI AWARD IN IMPLEMENTATION OF THE RURAL BUSINESS PLAN (RBP) UNDER THE CBN/RUFIN PROGRAMME 2017
As a bank, we have always been pace setters. We received an award as a pioneer in the development and extension of Rural Business Plan (RBP) for MFBs in Nigeria. We were very instrumental to the successful implementation of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Rural Finance Institution Building Programme (RUFIN) in collaboration with IFAD in Edo State. Trustfund Microfinance Bank was yet a unit microfinance bank when CBN approved a branch at Abudu in Orhionmwon Local Government Area to manage the poverty alleviation project of the federal government. In 2017, Trustfund Microfinance Bank received an award from CBN as pioneer MFI in implementation of the rural business plan (RBP) under RUFIN/IFAD/CBN.

TRUST FUND MICROFINANCE BANK WINS AGRIC BANK OF THE YEAR 2015 (MICROFINANCE)
In recognition of the bank’s bold efforts and the critical role played in dispensing financial services to smallholder farmers in Edo State, Trustfund Microfinance Bank Limited has been honoured at this year’s annual Nigeria Agricultural Award (NAA) as the best Agric Bank-Microfinance category for the year 2015. Trustfund Microfinance has been a foremost driver of agro businesses, with greater readiness to support farmers and small & medium scale enterprises. The NAA 2015 awards organized by AGRONIGERIA Magazine focus on institutions and individuals that have made remarkable strides in agriculture; Trustfund Microfinance has been consistent in helping farmers and supporting agricultural sector in Edo State. The annual NAA award honours outstanding Nigerian farmers, corporate institutions that have contributed to the agricultural sector in Nigeria.

RECOGNITION
Federal Government/Edo State Intervention Funds We have continued to be good partners to the federal and state governments. Trustfund Microfinance bank has been managing several intervention funds on behalf of the government in the past. The federal government appointed Trustfund Microfinance Bank as agent bank to manage the NAPEP poverty alleviation loan disbursement for Edo & Bayelsa States in the year 2014 even while we were yet a Unit Microfinance Bank. This also was a huge success. Also worthy of mention is the Edo State Government/CBN MSME development fund where our bank was chosen as major agent in the disbursement and managing of the funds. Of the total N2billion naira made available to the entire microfinance banks in the state, Trustfund Microfinance Bank Limited had a share of N1.2billion while the other MFBs in the state disbursed the remainder. This is in recognition of our expertise and commitment to MSMEs in Nigeria.
